"description": "Lafayette's stone-walled Cafe Du Vin wine cellar transforms group gatherings into intimate French soirées, where candlelit tables beneath vaulted ceilings create an atmosphere that feels like you've discovered a secret bistro in the East Village's depths. The restaurant's smaller Salle Privee offers the same thoughtful French hospitality in a more intimate setting, where seasonal dishes and carefully chosen wines encourage the kind of lingering conversations that make dinner parties memorable. Whether you're hosting eight close friends or 150 colleagues, the warmth of Lafayette's service and the authenticity of its bistro fare ensure your group will feel genuinely cared for rather than simply accommodated.",
