  My husband recently hosted a surprise dinner party for me with 16 of us in the private dining room. It was a splendid affair, with wonderful food, drinks and service! Food highlights were the roast chicken and the tiramisu, along with a beautiful Sancerre.

  We had a great dinner at Barbuto last night - - sharing old memories and creating new ones! Travis (the amazing sommelier), Gavin and the team took such great care of us. As a party of six we shared dishes family-style and while I could go on about each dish, the kale salad was to die for and the pistachio cake - delicious!! Leave room for dessert. We will be back!

  If I can give the restaurant 0 stars I WOULD! This restaurant is a 0 for everything except This place is wayyyy overpriced , giving you terrible food….chicken, pork, pasta dishes….all terrible. This is joke Italian food. It’s all a fancy, expensive gimmick. DO NOT give this restaurant your business- you will be disappointed. it doesn’t deserve to be high priced restaurant in DUMBO Brooklyn. A hole in the wall spot with a proven reputation for A FRACTION of the price, has food 1000x better than this place. Don’t get me started on the service! It’s like these waiters and waitresses never served a table before. Every table was getting wrong dishes and they barely tried to fix anything. The whole place was a mess. There were a million staff workers around, and no one was doing anything. This place just looks like another money grabbing restaurant looking to look the part and lure patrons in but not deliver on food or service. They’re also SNEAKY!! WATCY THE BILL…we ordered a plate without dairy in it bc we have one dairy allergy. Of course, they completely disregarded it and gave it with cheese in it. We had to send it back for the obvious reasons and they gave us a new one. On the bill, if we ordered 2 of something it would say “item x 2” on the receipt. When we ordered the pasta- They SEPARATED the charges on our long group bill and hid the second pasta charge somewhere else hoping we would miss it and pay. NOTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE IS ATTRACTIVE, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS MONEY HUNGRY SPOT.
