  guys. i’m telling you right now, if you want to have the perfect birthday party with the best food, vibes, and intimacy - book your private party here. i had about 40 people (max capacity) in the private room and it was perfect and beautiful. this was genuinely the best experience i’ve had throwing a birthday party. mark, beth, and the chefs, and our amazing bartenders made sure the vibes and atmosphere and efficiency of the party flow was on point. the guests raved about the food: (wings, beef sticks, fried rice, mee kathang noodles). they also enjoyed the drinks and the atmosphere of the back room. i cannot recommend lula mae enough. whether it’s for an intimate date in the front or a fun birthday party in the back room, this is where you need to come. as a cambodian girlie i highly recommend. lula mae u guys are the best!!!

  Truly unforgettable night! I rented out the back room of Lula Mae for a 30th birthday and it was so chic and beautiful. It can fit 70 people comfortably. The bartenders and other staff were incredible! Go here for any private parties or just in general!!!

  I celebrated my 40th Birthday at Lula Mae yesterday, and it was truly an amazing experience! The private room was gorgeous. The atmosphere was so relaxing and at the same time so festive! It’s a perfect place to celebrate any occasion with a big group of people. Music was so perfect too! Food was so delicious. It was so good that we are already planning to go there next week! The service was great. Ella, Roof and the rest of the team gave us their 100%. From refilling glasses to making sure our table was clean at all times- thank you guys so much. You really made my big birthday celebration so special and memorable!

  Sometimes fun is enough… First, let me say, that Lula Mae delivered a fun night out, though it left me frustrated as there were consistent and preventable issues with the food. I am not familiar enough with Cambodian cuisine to judge its authenticity, but the flavors were delightful overall. But in the end, it felt as if the kitchen had an issue keeping up with the crowd - and the execution suffered. The misses: The Tokyo Mae cocktail, was painfully sweet – almost undrinkable, the tuna "crispy" rice lacked any crispy-ness, and the fried rice was mushy - resembling more a chunky mashed potato. Most dishes came with some seemingly preventable issues. That said, the flavors were good - and we mostly finished what we ordered. On the plus side: the atmosphere was boisterous and festive, complemented by fun, genuine service. They went out of their way to help us celebrate our friend's birthday - by sharing some of a cake meant for the staff - a touching gesture. Standout dishes included the flavorful beef carpaccio and short ribs – proving that Lula Mae has potential. We also enjoyed the cha kway with tom yum butter - overpriced - but still recommended. So, would I go back? Yes… If they can tighten up the kitchen execution, this spot could easily become one better restaurants in all of North Brooklyn.
