  We hosted our wedding cocktail hour in Bar Blondeau. The entire experience was a dream, cocktails and food 10/10. Our guests were blown away. Highly recommend working with Bar Blondeau and the staff at Wythe Hotel for your wedding, event, or just visiting the bar for drinks, delicious food, and an incredible NYC view and atmosphere.

  The second year in a row holding a happy hour event for our entire company and it has been top tier both times! Ashllyn, Amanda and the entire team were lovely to work with and the event itself was stunning and really what we needed to end such a nice day together.

We just had our second company event here last week and everything was just as great, if not better, than our first event! The staff as a whole is so wonderful, but Amanda and Ashllyn are your go-to gals for a top notch experience! Can’t wait to return!!

  I had a poor experience here. The staff was inattentive, the drinks were expensive and not special, and the extra fees were exorbitant and never warned about. We had a weeknight happy hour reservation here on the rooftop for 12 people for a friend's birthday. Another friend brought a cake and cake slicer for the birthday girl. We were not sure whether we were going to eat the cake at Bar Blondeau or bring it with us after. Part way through the evening, the waitress asked the birthday girl if she'd like them to cut the cake for her. My friend said sure. They took the cake and the cake slicer we brought and cut it for us. At the end of the evening, there was a $120 cake cutting fee on our bill. I have never seen a cakeage fee this high at a bar, but that's not the problem. The problem is they never informed us about the fee. When the waitress graciously offered to cut the cake, she never mentioned a fee at all, let alone such a significant one. If she had, we would have cut it ourselves (with the cake cutter we brought and they used) or took it back to my friend's apartment with us. Instead, the Bar Blondeau staff chose to offer us assistance (which we didn't need) under the guise of good service, but it was actually just to hit us with a large, totally unwarned charge. We addressed it with the staff. They cut the charge down, but refused to remove it, despite the fact that they never informed us over the phone, they have no notification about such charges online, and their waitress OFFERED to cut the cake without any warning about the cost. It is bad business to offer a service without being up front about additional costs in any setting. It makes the establishment seem deceitful. There were other small issues throughout the evening, like inattentive staff. The cocktails were not worth the high cost. However, the worst was definitely the $120 cake fee they slapped on completely without warning. I would recommend you take your business to a different rooftop bar.

  Disappointing Experience at Bar Blondeau! We were a party of seven, all in our 40s–50s, dressed up and excited to celebrate our friend’s nursing school graduation with sunset cocktails. The staff seemed indifferent at best. We were brought a single bowl of nuts to share between all seven of us, and no one offered refills when our $25 cocktails were finished. We actually wondered if the staff was trained to have this kind of attitude. Things took a turn for the worse when we stepped outside onto the terrace for some fresh air. There was no one else outside, and one of our friends blew a few bubbles in celebration. A staff member named Dennis—who we were later told was the manager—came out, spoke to us rudely, and abruptly told us to finish our drinks and leave. He then turned and walked away without allowing any kind of conversation. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told Dennis was the manager. He refused to come back, and instead sent security - Eugene, who was actually wonderful and professional and sympathized with us, to escort us out. The whole interaction was humiliating and completely soured what was supposed to be a special and joyful evening. I’ve truly never been treated so poorly at any bar or restaurant, let alone one that presents itself as upscale. We were respectful guests looking to celebrate an important milestone, and we left feeling disrespected and unwelcome. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address the behavior we experienced, particularly from your management.
