  I brought my family here for my auntie's 63rd birthday. We did the family style meal which by our choice included Thrice Cooked Chicharrón, Bacalao Cesar Salad, Pepper Steak, Sausage Fried Rice along with the Frito Mixto and Pop's Flan to finish. We added the Chinese Long Beans for an extra $3 a head. The big winner of the evening was the Chicharrón but I think my personal favorite were the long beans that were grilled and seasoned perfectly. Pop's Flan also knocked it out with smooth and creamy texture coupled with notes of Cinnamon Clove and possibly nutmeg. I must say, I wish there were more or bigger bacalao crispies on the salad but it was otherwise very tasty! The portions provided were ample and the food came out hot. I can't wait to see what Chef Dylan has in store for the future and how the restaurant will evolve. Service was also excellent. They always made sure we had drinks on the table and heverything we needed. I look forward to my next visit. Thank you for accommodating us!

  My experience at Chino Grande was sub par. Upon arrival my party was accommodated due to us missing our reservation. The hostess was very pleasant and she seated us right away in the backyard area. The service was a bit delayed as they only had one waiter covering the entire backyard dining area. The waiter was polite and we could clearly see that she was overwhelmed with all of the tables present in the backyard. I suggest they hire another waiter for the backyard because things took a while to make it to our table. We ordered an appetizer the Pernil eggroll and we were underwhelmed with the presentation and quantity of the appetizer because it was one lone medium sized egg roll to share. The flavor of the egg roll was nothing spectacular I could’ve made it at home. We order our entrees and they took a very long time to come out. One of our dishes came out 20 minutes before the other entrees and when we asked to switch it out for a hot dish we were told no because the “kitchen is busy”. The portion sizes of the meals were small and the flavor was subpar. You can honestly go to a Mom and Pop restaurant of Dominican/Chinese cuisine and get better quality, prices and service. While dining in the backyard we also saw RATS running along the top of the partition in the yard. This was highly upsetting and unacceptable. It completely turn my party off and we did not continue eating because who wants to view a rat party happening while you are eating. We were not the only guests that realized the rats were running across the top of the walls. Once we saw the pest we requested the check as fast we could and left to go. I hope this establishment finds a way to rectify the rat problem because it’s highly disturbing while trying to eat. Overall this is not an establishment I will be frequenting again.

  Our friends and I came in on Wednesday December 20th, my first time here, to be rushed through the ordering process by the rude, impersonal server who after food came out demanded we pay the check even before we finished our food. I should add we are all people who work/have worked in the hospitality industry for years and have more patience than most, but this was notably off putting. To top it off, the karaoke woman made a comment about us as we left because we didn’t participate, when we didn’t even know there was such an event that night. The food and drinks were good, the service not so much.

  Delicious modern Asian. Fun and interesting cocktails. The portions were wildly different in size vs pricing, making it a confusing to order for a group, but everything was absolutely wonderful. We wanted many many more of the chilled mussels! The fried skate wing was tender and incredibly well flavored. Overall very much enjoyed; just seemed a bit expensive compared to what we got.

  The food is so flavorful. There’s something for everyone. The cocktails also interesting. We had a group of 5 and tried everything on the menu. The staff are happy and it’s just a great place. Next time we will go for the karaoke.
