  Our daughter’s bridal shower was at Cecconi’s Dumbo and was absolutely beautiful and love-filled success, and we could not be more grateful. I wanted to take a moment to share just how special the day felt — thanks in large part to the incredible team and your guidance behind the scenes. 1. The captain was truly exceptional. He led the team of servers with such grace and quiet confidence that guests were complimenting the service all day. When we were leaving, he personally helped me navigate the hand truck through the kitchen to the loading dock — a small gesture, but one that spoke volumes. My wife commented that he was always close by, yet almost invisible in the best way. He shared something with me that I haven’t forgotten: “My goal is that every single guest will want to return.” You can’t teach that — it comes from the heart. 2. The food was absolutely delicious — piping hot, beautifully presented, and thoughtfully accommodating to all dietary needs. And let me just say: the meatballs stole the show! 3. The bartender at the main bar was not only professional but also wonderfully personable. When “the guys” arrived from the party room as the shower started, he smiled and said, “How much time do we need to kill?” — and then managed to time the final courses perfectly so everything flowed seamlessly with the end of the shower. He really read the room and added such a warm touch to the experience. 4. The venue itself… I’m honestly at a loss for words. It was simply perfect. Most of all, I want to thank Jillian, the manager. Her kind and thoughtful leadership made all the difference. I am so deeply grateful for the care, attention, and professionalism that radiated from every corner that day. If you are considering Cecconi’s Dumbo for your special event, your guests will have an outstanding food and service experience in the most stunning setting they will ever believe.

  On Friday, 5/23/25, I celebrated my son’s college graduation with dinner inviting family and friends. I have been communicating with Jillian, Cecconi’s private events assistant manager, since March to set up this dinner. I am extremely pleased and happy that I chose Cecconi’s for this moment. Last night was absolutely wonderful!! ☺️ I didn’t drink as much as I’d have liked because I was too busy interacting with my family and friends. I loved that everyone was enjoying themselves. It was cool seeing my son’s and his friends having a good time. Am I biased because of the moment I was celebrating? Maybe….. but the food was delicious and the service was great. Jose and the other gentleman whose name I can’t remember were wonderful. Both of them were pleasant and gracious. Entrees were eggplant parmigiana, chicken paillard, and salmon broccolini with sides, of course. Dessert was tiramisu and lemon sorbet. These dishes are from the private events menu selection. Nevertheless, all were delicious. You can view the regular menu to Cecconi’s Dumbo on their website or Google. This review is based on the private events space so the price per person is $100+ because of that. However, if you walk in or reserve a table the cost per person could definitely be less depending upon your meal and drink.That review is the next paragraph. I first came to Cecconi’s the second week of May 2025 to check out the restaurant and the space I had a contract for. After meeting with Jillian, 2 of my friends and I had a meal. The service that day was very good. No complaints at all. I had a reservation for 3 and we chose to sit on the outside part of restaurant. It was a delicious meal, delicious drinks and a beautiful view. *The pic of the rigatoni bolognese was when I had a late lunch with my 2 friends.*

  I would never recommend this place to anyone looking to host a special occasion. From the moment we walked in, the staff—including the waiters and management—were shockingly rude, unwelcoming, and downright hostile. We were a group of 10 celebrating an engagement and were required to sign a contract agreeing to a $100 minimum per person. Fine—we signed. But when the check came, it totaled $50 less than the $1,000 required. Instead of informing us ahead of time that we hadn’t met the minimum or giving us the option to order more (especially since we had no idea we were under), they simply closed the kitchen and left us with no solution—while still demanding the full amount. No communication, no courtesy, no flexibility. The entire experience felt like a money grab wrapped in condescension. The way paying customers were treated—with aggression, disrespect, and zero professionalism—is unacceptable for any business, let alone a restaurant charging premium prices. Save yourself the headache and choose literally any other venue that values customer service, hospitality, and basic decency

  Really beautiful chic and buzzy restaurant. Located inside the Time Out Building. The decor just works nicely with its “ chandeliers meets industrial soho” vibe. The outdoor area, if timed right during golden hour, has a great view of the sunset peaking through the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan skyscrapers. But the real story is not the view but the food! The lobster pasta and rigatoni bolognese were my favorite but the calamari and the burrata were also delicious. Presentation and drinks were all on point and our server, Bob, was fabulous! He brought positive energy to our table and was friendly and accommodating for our party of 15. We loved him! This is a great place for date night, girls nite out or large gatherings. They have all kinds of seating for different party sizes. Loved it here and will be back to try the pizza which also looked amazing. Afterwards, you can take the elevator to the rooftop lounge of the Timeout building and dance the calories off.

  We did a pre fix menu for a bday celebration and they set a group in separate tables when there was ample space to combine. The manager was completely useless not classy or had any care in the world. The food was disgusting—overcooked chewy calamari, over salted rigatoni with old bolognese; flavorless Branzino, and undercooked meatballs. The server brings food/entrees to one side of the table but not the other. So half the table is eating and half is staring. The whole experience was disappointing and honestly shocking! Who is managing this and the downfall of this establishment is painful. Hope real management is reading. Nothing special for the bday girl—underrated
