  Had a business dinner last night at Au Cheval with a group of colleagues, and we had a great experience. The atmosphere was lively, casual, and really enjoyable. The service was absolutely excellent—our server was attentive, pleasant, and very helpful throughout the evening. I had the double patty burger with bacon and egg, along with French fries. Everything was delicious. The burger was definitely on the heavier side, and I found the bun a little thick, but removing the top bun made it much easier to enjoy. Overall, it was a great spot for a casual dinner with excellent service and a fun atmosphere. I would definitely recommend it.

  The burger definitely lives up to the hype—juicy and delicious. We were a large group and they messed up our order (probably forgot to put it in the system), which left us waiting for about an hour and a half. That said, they made it right by comping both the food and drinks, which really showed their commitment to customer service. Despite the wait, I left with a positive experience—the food was excellent and the manager handled the situation very well

  Exemplary Hospitality My 5:00 PM reservation for seven hit a major snag when my family didn't arrive until 5:50 PM. Despite this significant delay and what was clearly a busy night, the staff demonstrated exemplary hospitality by working their magic to still accommodate us. To every single team member who worked on 10/25/25: Thank you. Your effort is the true definition of service excellence and is deeply appreciated by this fellow hospitality professional.   Before providing this review, I would like to preface that I usually never leave reviews, both all my guests and myself, are all in the restaurant industry and typically bite our tongue when faced with an unpleasant dining experience. For starters- Maurice was great! All the staff were very friendly and created a warm and welcoming environment. Despite this, a few things throughout the experience soured our friend’s birthday meal at Au Cheval. Initially, one of the guests began their meal ordering a hugo spritz. 40% of the way into the meal, he still had not received it despite having had already been done with appetizers and moved onto entrees. No big deal. 50% of the way into the meal, he finally receives his drink- but the wrong one, it was a ghia spritz instead. Again, no big deal. Around 60% of the way into the meal, he finally receives the correct drink- was just surprised to see that it remained on the bill despite the beverage having been forgotten about, misfired, and received after half the meal had already been done. Next issue was when the server assistant accidentally dropped utensils into a cup of coffee while pre-bussing, splashing coffee onto my guests. Not a big deal- but was once again surprised to see that nothing was comped, including the coffee which was spilled. All in all, the food was fine and there were no particular issues with the staff- was just a bit surprised about the lack of hospitality and care from a place as nice as Au Cheval, especially considering that we were visiting for a special occasion.
