  I typically don't review restaurants when we do a group prix fixe menu as the large-scale group cooking doesn't allow the best of the restaurant to come through. However, Mino Brasserie took our 18-ish group meal to a "family-style" preparation and pulled it off really well. And even as I review this as if it wasn't a group meal, I would've rated it similarly. Compared to standard NYC restaurant sizes, the interior is quite spacious. It's cozy and has this modern French bistro vibe, but well interpreted in the NYC way. It doesn't scream French yet you know it seeps throughout. The service was friendly and swift. The server offered us welcome champagne (which we had paid for) but almost as a way to make us feel special. The interactions were private and friendly, and made us welcome. Now when I see a 4.7 star on Google reviews, I'm excited. NYC tends to over-inflate the ratings a bit but still, this should be a legitimate French bistro. And they didn't disappoint. The salads were phenomenal, with perfect amount of dressing and flavor. The escargot was good but had a bit less garlic and seasoning for my taste. Small miss but also completely acceptable. The biggest disappointment in terms of the food was my steak frites. I ordered medium rare but it came out medium. This typically happens when you prepare a group meal and thus you can only cook so many plates in parallel. I have a feeling my steak sat under a hot light too long. I would rather opt into serve the plates as they get ready versus doing an entire table delivery of 18 plates. Very seldom do I get this caliber of a meal when we order as a large group and Mino Brasserie achieving this level of culinary joy should be commended. I would love to visit it again and order as a regular table. One nit pick - they included two bottles of wine (one red and one white) included in the package. I'm not sure whether they charged for it or not. However, the wine was so rough that we literally couldn't drink it. Apologies for sounding like a snob but we would rather not harm the other food tasting. We got ourselves a much better bottle and everyone was happy. But again, free does not always mean it is accretive.

  Hosted a private event here for my baby shower and it was an incredible experience from start to finish! The team was super communicative and easy to plan with, and the day of everything went perfectly. Our guests loved the food and had a fabulous time - I would highly recommend for your next event or just dinner out!

  I hosted my wedding dinner here and it was the best decision I ever made. The team was responsive and attentive to detail, accommodating with day of deliveries and table setups, and guests couldn’t stop raving about how good the food and the service was. 12/10 recommend for events!!! We are Mino stans 😤

  What a beautiful restaurant run by incredible people. We hosted my brothers 30th birthday there last weekend. There were 22 of us in our party and we were treated so well! The service was both attentive and thorough, and the food was absolutely delicious. So many things can change at a moments notice when hosting such a large party and they navigated the event flawlessly. I am so grateful to Hugo and his team and would 100% host another event here.

  The server was rude, rarely cleaned plates, and even rolled her eyes at one point when she repeated something wrong and we corrected her. The dishes were brought out 3 at a time (party of 6) and were auctioned off at the table by a food runner. Such an expensive restaurant and they don’t have seat numbers? All the martinis had ice chips in them and were ran without a tray by the bartender so he’s trying to carry 3 stemmed glasses with 2 hands and everything is sloshing everywhere. The server didn’t take our orders between courses and meals until we were waiting for some time, each time. Finally the manager came and closed us out while we waited so we could get out of there. The food was super mid, I had the steak frites and it was cold, but alas everything else was so bad I didn’t even bother. Horrible service, overpriced food. Cherry on top was automatic gratuity. What a joke, just hire some staff with real experience. May 10 6:30 reservation.
