  We visited Peter Luger Steak House as a group of 12 (6 adults and 6 children), and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The atmosphere is classic and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. Our server was incredibly attentive and professional — when we were about to over-order, he kindly advised us that what we had was more than enough. He was absolutely right! The portions were perfect, and everything was cooked to perfection. The steaks were phenomenal — fresh, juicy, and full of flavor. This is definitely a must-visit spot if you’re in New York and looking for a top-notch steakhouse. We came as a family, and everyone left happy and satisfied. Highly recommended!

  We had a party of 10 people. We got there 7 o’clock. At 7:40 the man in a black suit called himself the manager came with arrogant attitude and told us that the table is reserved for another party at 8 o’clock and was rushing us to order and leave. When we told him that we are customers and we want to take our time for the money we are spending. He started to threat us by calling cops. We decided to leave because we wanted no problem. He was very racist and has no respect. He said we are very busy and we are not looking for more customers.

  Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Hype Went to Peter Luger’s with a big group, excited to try one of the most “iconic” steakhouses in NYC. Sadly, the only impressive thing about this place is its history. The steak? Good, but nothing special – certainly not worth the price or the hype. Our servers were okay but when our bill came, we took a few minutes to figure out how to split it between us – not an unusual request for a large party. But instead of being patient, the staff grew visibly irritated. Eventually, the server brought over the manager who, without any discretion, loudly told us to hurry up because there were other customers waiting. It was awkward and humiliating – everyone in the room turned to look at us. And let’s not forget we waited over an hour for our food. Honestly, this place feels like a tourist trap living off its legacy. You can get better steak and way better service at plenty of other steakhouses in the city. Wouldn’t go back, and wouldn’t recommend.

  Steaks were amazing and the service was excellent. We had a large party and the staff was accommodating and recommended the perfect amount of food. Highly recommended!

  Had a great experience at Peter Luger Steak House. The steak was the highlight—huge, flavorful, and perfectly cooked medium rare. We ordered the steak for 3, and it was enough for our group of 6 to enjoy. 🥩 The burger was good, though a little dry for my taste. 🍔 The staff were very accommodating, allowing us to add one more guest at the last minute despite having a reservation for 5. Special thanks to Marian, our server, who was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. 😊 Would definitely come back for the steak!
