  I have to tell you, I have been coming to Sarabeths for years. Every time I come into town I organize a brunch and sing the praises of Sarabeths. Unfortunately, I had the worst experience when I hosted a party of 8 for brunch (08/11/24 @1:15). I expect (for the cost $600+ and level of service of Sarabeths) to be checked on, waters refreshed, plates taken away in a timely manner, etc. Our water was refreshed once. We stacked our own plates and moved them aside. We were prepared to order more coffees and I wanted to finish brunch with a round of Mimosas, etc. I was so disappointed with the service it was all I could do to leave a tip. So Sarabeths lost additional money due to lack of service. The food was delicious as always. It really came down to lack of service and customer care. I am sad to see this decline at your restaurant and will most likely move my business elsewhere. The servers name was Christopher. But I must say, I felt the lack of sophistication the moment I walked in. The day before I had brunch at La Grande Boucherie and it was a very different experience. I am writing this because I do care and because Sarabeths has always been my number 1 brunch spot in the city.

  We had a rather large group and they managed that pretty expertly. Especially during the lunch hour. Our waiters were attentive and quick. I couldn’t get over the crab guacamole which EVERYONE should get as a starter, the meat was fresh and exceptionally complimentary to the guac’. My only complaint was that, there were a few times where the waiters brought an extra wine in error or an extra plate of cookies although we only asked for 2, I have no doubt these were added to our bill. I’ve seen this done in busy NY restaurants before. It soured the experience a bit. Especially since we were always going to spend money and tip well. Overall, good experience. Would like to revisit with 1-2 guests in the future as opposed to 15-20.

  Your great reputation was on display recently as we had a large group for brunch. Impeccable service and every person at our table raved about the food. Thank you for accommodating our group during the snowfall. Definitely coming back.

  The location is great across from Central Park but everything else disappointing and expensive. I would not mind the prices if the food and service reflected the prices but it did not. My 2 poached eggs with a gritty side of lettuce at $22. Tropicana “fresh” orange juice at $12, cold side of home fries at $12, overly cheesed goopy omelette, slimy smoked salmon served with toast ( NYC restaurant with no bagels?)…etc. We were a party of 10 squeezed tight into a corner. The place was overwhelmingly loud, service was very slow (15 minutes for drink order and another 30 minutes to take the food order) and intermittent (not everyone was served at same time and on person waited 15 minutes after everyone was served). All in all not a place I would frequent again. Well traveled and foodies skip this place. Tourists go at your own risk, you’ve been warned.

  We did Sunday morning brunch, called ahead of time and they said they did not accept reservations but decided to go anyways. We had a party of 7 so we knew it might not happen. We put our name in and were told a 45-minute wait. As we were deciding on somewhere else to go they called our name after about 15 minutes. They seated us in our own little private nook. Sometimes it pays to have a bigger party in NYC! Plenty of space at our table. We had a great time, service was friendly and attentive. The fluffy French toast was delicious, definitely big enough to share. A tiny bit over priced (my side of bacon was $10) but the overall good experience we had made up for the price. It seems there have been some bad experiences at this location but our brunch was great. I would go back again definitely for brunch.
