  • private vip reception, party of 90
Hosted a 90 Person Private VIP Experience and Cocktail Reception at Cafe Boulud and it was absolutely phenomenal. The food was amazing, the staff were excellent, and the venue was beautiful. Samantha, the events director, was a true partner, super helpful and wonderful to work with. Will absolutely be hosting more events and experiences at Cafe Boulud soon!
  • anniversary private dinner
We recently hosted our 10th anniversary celebration at Café Boulud, and it was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, everything was handled with the utmost care and thoughtfulness. Domenica and Kim, our private event coordinators, were excellent. They were responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. The private Vaisselier dining room, tucked behind a bookcase, was stunning and created such a unique and memorable atmosphere for our guests. The quality of the food was impeccable. Every canapé we selected was excellent, and the dinner itself was outstanding. Our guests are still raving about the thoughtful wine pairings and especially the duck, which was a hit. The Chef and team deserve a special thanks for their incredible work. We’re already excited to return to Café Boulud to experience the full menu. A special acknowledgment as well to Danny, our main server, and the entire staff who went above and beyond to ensure we were cared for all evening. If you’re looking for a truly special venue for a celebration or private event, I can’t recommend Café Boulud highly enough. The combination of exceptional food, service, and atmosphere made our milestone celebration unforgettable. Bravo to everyone!
  • bridal shower
The event team and venue staff are fabulous. They were attentive to me, flexible, and creative in executing the event and fulfilling my requests. The bridal shower was a fun and festive success. Thank you Cafe Boulud at Maison Barnes.
  • mother's day lunch
We had a wonderful Mother’s Day lunch at Café Boulud in the private wine room. The sommelier Matthew, who served us during the course of the afternoon, was excellent. The food was delicious and the service was impeccable. I’ve had the opportunity to dine at Daniel Boulud’s restaurants more than 10 times in the last 5 years and they have always been extraordinary experiences.
  • friend's birthday dinner
We visited Cafe Boulud for a friend's birthday, expecting a memorable dining experience from such a renowned restaurant. Unfortunately, our visit was profoundly disappointing and fell short of expectations. "This restaurant has a portion consistency problem." The evening began with a stark contrast to the restaurant's reputation. Inconsistencies in our drinks, with French 75s served in different-sized glasses (2 glasses are smaller than the others and WHY?), hinted a need for more attention to detail. However, the primary issue was with the food. The portions were not only small but the quality did not justify the high prices. A notable example was the significant size difference between the Croque Monsieurs my husband and I received, which the staff attributed to the way the bread was cut. (Literally, my husband's were twice more extensive than mine and WHY?) This type of inconsistency is hard to overlook in a fine dining setting, especially one with such a renowned name. (In the photo, I'm holding a piece of my husband's next to mine.) "$40 Croque Monsieur is smaller than half of my hand." which is a total joke. When I voiced my dissatisfaction, the response from the waiter was far from what one would expect in a fine dining establishment. It did little to alleviate the situation and almost felt dismissive. This lack of professional handling compounded the already souring mood of our celebration. By the end of the evening, the cumulative effect of these issues had killed the vibe, leaving me feeling almost insulted. It seemed as though little effort was made to ensure our dining experience met the standard one would expect from Cafe Boulud, adding to the disappointment. Due to the unprofessional service and the overall poor experience, I cannot foresee returning to Cafe Boulud. It was not just a disappointing visit but a regrettable choice for what should have been a joyous celebration.
