- private room dinner
The atmosphere and the service here are really great. It is lively and fun. Our group had the private room in the back, which was so lovely and next to its own bathroom. We agreed that the fried chicken, Hamchi, rigatoni cacio de pepe pasta, and Gelato were the crowd favorites (prederred over the mains). Enjoy!
- large group dinner
Very good spot in SoHo. I was there with a large group and we ordered off the prix fixe menu. They threw in some extras like hamachi crudo which was excellent. My only criticism was the restaurant was very loud.
- group dinner, party of 8
Totally bummed to give this place a negative review since it was on our list of places to try. We had booked a reservation for eight people total. The restaurant was probably 1/3 full. I think there was a miscommunication between our waiter and our group because he had asked if we wanted to have our food brought out at the same time and we had ordered two appetizers and then was implying that we should just have our food brought out at the same time, which is fine except it ended up taking an hour just to get bread. Then we finally got our food after asking where our food was because it’s been a while and he gave us attitude saying that we wanted it brought out at the same time. We don’t know what was going on, but the waiter just made us feel awkward and was barely acknowledging us when we would order a drink or ask any question. The service is what made the rating so low.
- department dinner, party of 8
Extremely unhappy with this place! Needed to coordinate a dinner for my department (party of 8). I used their website, called them and emailed them. They said their restaurant is small and basically force us to use their private party option - set menu, price and minimum spending. I am trying to coordinate a casual dinner - not a formal party. Then I asked if we can make two reservation of 4s and have the tables next to each other. Their response: We just don't do that. It's ridiculous!
- large group lunch
The team at Charlie Bird was very helpful to accommodate us inside on a rainy day for a large group. Great service!
