- group celebration dinner, party of 6
Our party of six in the City for a very beautiful occasion in November of 2024, was subjected to a horrible dining experience at Cipriani on 5th Avenue. After contacting the restaurant way ahead to make sure we would secure a good table we ended up by the entrance and with a continous flow of people practically rubbing against my back. The service was awful, waiters had not been taught how to take care of customers, expensive drinks were small and mediocre. They even managed to serve bad food! I was embarrassed to have suggested to our company such a place! Needless to say a lot of effort was put on our very expensive bill. Never again!
- birthday dinner, party of 5
Honestly, this restaurant left us genuinely saddened and disappointed, especially after hearing so many glowing recommendations. We came in excited and hopeful for a memorable evening, and while the appetizers were truly enjoyable and easily the best part of the meal, the main dishes were shockingly underwhelming. They lacked flavor, felt uninspired, and simply did not justify the high price point. What hurt the most, though, was the service. My family and I felt forgotten for much of the evening, repeatedly needing to wave someone down just to receive basic assistance. To make matters worse, we were initially seated at a tiny table meant for far fewer than five people, leaving us cramped and uncomfortable throughout the meal. We’re the kind of family that loves ordering a variety of dishes to share so everyone can try a little bit of everything, so table space was especially important for us. Unfortunately, there was barely enough room to function comfortably, and the lack of space was so extreme that two small plates were accidentally broken. This dinner was meant to be a meaningful birthday celebration for my grandmother — a night where she could feel special, cherished, and celebrated by our family. Instead, the evening felt cold, inattentive, and stressful, which was heartbreaking considering the occasion. As someone who frequently dines at upscale restaurants, I expect a certain level of care, professionalism, and hospitality, especially at this price range. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those standards and simply did not live up to the reputation or hype.
- birthday dinner
We were looking for something upscale to celebrate my wife’s birthday after a wonderful Moulin Rouge Broadway show. The staff were very attentive and so was the management, not to mention the authentic Italian food which was very tasty and warming. Personally, I have been to every restaurant of every class in the city... My experience here has clearly showed me how prestigious the Cipriani brand is, especially in the delivery of their hospitality and excellence in how they treated our party.
- team dinner
Great place to debrief with the Supp team after a day on the road. Our go to is bowl of fries and a drink.
