  We hosted a board dinner in a downstairs private room. 25 guests total. Service was IMPECCABLE. Food was really yummy and generous and... the family-style approach worked well with a guest speaker. Three tables so we weren't all seated together (fine for us but heads up) and the private room next door was loud at times-- maybe additional, optional sound proofing for the sliding doors? Would go back.

  Worst experience I've had at a business dinner in NYC and they basically stole $1,300 from us. I've been in NYC entertaining clients for 12 years and I've never seen anything this bad. We did a large party with a $6,500 minimum, that seemed in line w/ our group size. First thing we do when we sit down is order wine and they told us we couldn't order the wine. At first they said it was something we asked for in the contract to have a limit, when we showed that was not the case, they said it was something they put in to protect us, but were were going to be way under the minimum and as the person paying the bill and signing the contract, we 100% did not want this. It finally came out that they only had a couple bottles and didn't want to give them to us. We tried ordering other bottles and they were out of any of any decent Champaign and wine. Service was slow and unresponsive. Food took forever to come out (even by large party standards) and mains were cold by the time they were served. People couldn't get drinks. But the thing that topped it off was at the end of the night the waiter slid the bill down without saying anything. We looked at it a few min later and saw we were 1,300 under our minimum spend. We asked if we could order some drinks. They said that it was past the time limit and that we don't order anything. It was still early, there was no party coming into the room after and they were happy to let us sit, just didn't tell us we were way off our minimum and gave us no chance to hit it. After escalating to the manager (who could not have been more rude), he finally said he'd comp us a round of drinks. When we started to order, he told us we couldn't order anything we were asking for and clarified that all they would give us was basically cheap well drinks, despite the fact that we had just paid them $1,300 more than we had ordered. With so many great Italian spots in NYC with good service, steer clear of this scam.

  I had reserved the library room for a quiet Saturday dinner with five people, specifically to ensure we could enjoy a peaceful conversation. Despite my reservation for 7 pm, we waited for 10 minutes to be seated. The older host, who had white hair and was on duty that day, led us to the dining room instead. I informed him that my reservation was for the library room, not the dining room. To my surprise, he replied, "There are no seats in the library room," without any concern for my reservation. What frustrated me the most was his complete lack of acknowledgment or effort to rectify the mistake. There was no indication that they couldn't fulfill my reservation or any proper action taken to address their error. Instead, he casually suggested that we "check the area" and led us downstairs to do so. However, we discovered that there were available tables down there, which left me baffled. I even asked if he was a manager, but he didn't respond. When I expressed my dissatisfaction with his attitude and requested an apology, he reluctantly said "sorry" with a sarcastic tone. I chose not to escalate the situation by reporting it to the manager to avoid making my party uncomfortable. However, it's important to address this now. To the host whose name I don't know, it's essential to take reservations seriously and treat customers with respect. Your actions, from disregarding my reservation to your insincere apology, were both unprofessional and disappointing.

  I came with my team from work and we all had a fantastic lunch here. We had a large table tucked into a nook in the back, making a great spot for talking. The roasted cauliflower ($18) is a great appetizer, and you can't go wrong with calamari ($17). They have a nice selection of cocktails as well, and I especially enjoyed the spicy limoncello margarita ($18), which was a favorite among the group. As for food: I eat a lot of fresh pastas, but I'm not exaggerating when I say that this was the best I ever had. I had the Bucatini cacio e pepe ($23) and it was phenomenal. Everyone at the table agreed that the pastas were the perfect texture. For dessert, the tiramisu for 2 ($18) is enormous and actually could probably feed 5. It was also delicious!
