  A wonderful rooftop restaurant and bar in midtown Manhattan, convenient to NY Penn Station. I attended a private reception here with about 120 people. It never felt crowded and there was adequate seating for guests. The food was excellent and the service was attentive.

  Just threw a great party at VERSA of about 25 people over the weekend. The venue itself is absolutely fantastic for bigger gatherings and price-wise is one of, if not the most affordable rooftop venue in midtown. I didn’t get to try any of the food, but can confirm the drinks are great! Not only would I recommend anyone looking to throw an event to check out VERSA, but I may even look to throw another event at VERSA in the future!

  Unfortunately, I had one of the worst hospitality experiences I have ever had at Versa in my 15 years as a New Yorker. I made a reservation for 15 to host business clients here for drinks and dinner before heading to MSG. Our department assistant even went to visit Versa the day before event to make sure everything was in order. They showed her where our tables would be and said they'd block off part of the outside for us. We check in the day of the event and they take us to a high top table for 4, telling us that is all they can accommodate as they have a private event happening outside. They couldn't even move us to a bigger table inside. The manager and hostess both didn't seem concerned, apologetic or want to help us in the slightest. If they couldn't accommodate us, I don't understand why they'd take the reservation and go as far as to show us where we'd be seated the day before. We were left in a bad situation and had to scramble when hosting clients. Versa used to be my go to before MSG, but I won't be going here again

  We’ve been to Versa several times to watch Knicks games and always had a great experience—until last night. We made a reservation for a group of 12 and spoke with the host multiple times upon arrival to confirm we’d be able to stay through the game and discuss accommodations as the bar got busier. At no point were we told there was a time limit on our table. Right as the game started, a staff member came over and told us we had to leave because another group was waiting. When I asked why, I was told there was a time limit. I later checked both the reservation and website, and nowhere was this disclosed. Even the manager acknowledged that the policy wasn’t listed. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication. We gave staff several opportunities to inform us, yet we received no warning and were asked to leave at the exact moment the game began. We’ve recommended Versa to many people and brought large groups there several times. Unfortunately, after the way this was handled, we won’t be returning.

  We had a team party there. The rooftop is excellent, with very good drinks and food. The menu is big and there’s plenty of room for a large crowd. The music was good and the seating was decent. It’s walkable to the train station and PATH. The ambience is a big plus.
