  We had a large party of 16. They went above and beyond to setup a space for us last min. The food and drinks were great.

  We were ushered to a private room for the 8 of us, so that was a good start to our birthday celebration. Servers were very attentive. I want to give kudos to Lizandro who took very good care of us. Steak was cooked beautifully and oysters grit-free and tasty!

  Side notes- Review is in regards to their $95 special for 2, which is a fantastic deal compared to their standard menu. Also, their website is currently hacked, displaying a page to download a fake version of Chrome from "worshipinnovcations." Finally, this old school steakhouse is posting AI slop on Instagram/their FB page in celebration of the Knicks... "cool." Anyway, I was here a while ago for something that they appear to offer seasonally, the $95 Porterhouse for Two, which is normally $165 alone, and also comes with a salad, mashed potatoes, and creamed spinach. This is a fantastic deal compared to their usual high prices and appears to be still happening, but I'm not sure. I was here early and was sitting at the bar with others, and the bartender was friendly. I might have had a glass of wine, but I'm not sure. We were soon upstairs with our full group of 6. Our waiter asked if we wanted something outside of the special, and he recommended the bread, which we ordered for $10.50, listed as Chef's Special Bread Preparation. While the menu lacks any descriptions, this was essentially a Jenga tower of slightly crusted garlic bread sitting in a rather rich and oily sauce made with presumably a lot of Parmesan or another similar type of cheese. It was tasty and worked to whet the appetite. Soon enough, the steaks and other dishes arrived, with two of our pairs getting the same medium rare temperature and the others getting medium. The portion was large as expected, with the steak being pretty tender. I think the flavor was a bit better than Gallagher's, but worse than Keen's, Delmonico's, Hawksmoor, and a few other places with less funk, but it was still decent. The sides were standard, whether it was the salad, which was Caesar's, the spinach, or the mashed potatoes. I wouldn't pay full price, as there are several other steakhouses in the city that are tastier at a similar price range, but I would probably recommend this place if you were to get the same deal.

  I've eaten there many times over the years, because I like the food, but for the 2nd time, I found my bill was padded with item I never ordered. The 1st time, it was a $24 whiskey, and though I was suspicious, I accepted explanation that it was an honest mistake. Most recently, tuesday October 15th, I was there with a party of 8, and there was a $70 item on my bill I never ordered. When adding tax and 20% tip they automatically add for their "service", it was an extra $90. This time I sought no explanation, I asked they adjust check, I paid adjusted amount left, and crossed restaurant off my list.
