  Delayed review for our Thanksgiving dinner at The Grill. We were seating in the private dining room but the main dining space was popping and was very fun and lively. Dinner was decadent and delicious with an exceptional black truffle pasta course. Would love to come back here for a non holiday dinner!

  The food and service, once you are steated are exceptional. The Grill is however unable to stick to reseravation times, by a very wide margin. Unfortunately this is the second time in a row they have managed to miss the reservation time, like nearly 45 minutes late for a birthday reservation. My group was there promptly at the reserved time. The Grill staff mentioned many times they would "take care of us" once we were seated due to the delay, which maybe they just meant we would eventually have good service but it sounded like they would provide something for the very long wait. That was a promise that was never made good on. Recently at Lure Fishbar they were 20 minutes late on a reservation and the staff offered us so many appetizers we politely told them they had done more than enough, we wanted to be at least a little hungry for our main courses. My parents were at The Grill a month ago as well and they left after never being seated after a lot of ambigious "almost ready" type comments from the hosts. 70th birthday for my mom dinner no-less. They went to Balthazar and had a lovely time, as we always do there. Also worth mentioning, the tables by the windows are very very cold, there was a draft and both my GF and my sister's went and put their coats on from the coat check to stay warm. The staff mentioned it was oddly cold and not normally like that. We're not a difficult group and didn't complain about it but worth mentioning I would recommend asking for a table that isn't near the glass windows during the winter. So, I really have enjoyed this restaurant and the experience but I would not under any circumstances book The Grill for anything important like a business dinner or birthday party ever again.

  Beautiful space for a high profile event. Both fancy and cozy. Food was surprisingly delicious. Staff and musical entertainment was phenomenal.

  The 6 of us had high hopes for The Grill, but were ultimately extremely disappointed. The waiter was terrible and did not seem to care at all if we were enjoying our evening. In general, the service was not at all what you'd expect from this type of restaurant. They didnt even clean the crumbs off the table between courses. Not a huge deal, but something done at most other fine dining restaurants. The one exception was our busboy, Jose, who was great and the only one who seemed to care about ensuring we were happy. The duck, prime rib, crabcake and hash browns were the standout dishes. The rest were very average. The ribeye was good, but charging $300 for it was a joke. One person in our party ordered the NY strip Medium. It came out rare, twice, and then we gave up on it. No one apologized, but they did take it off the bill. They do table service for the prime rib, but not if you are seated on the upper level because they can't bring the trolley up the stairs. Dessert was disappointing and I wish we'd gone for ice cream instead. All in all, it was a very average meal for an obscene amount of money. Do not understand the hype. The food was good, but not worth the money. The server was unattentive and unfriendly. The space is beautiful, but doesn't make up for everything else. It's a shame because we were so looking forward to this dinner. We won't be back and would not recommend this restaurant.
