  • hosted private event
I attended beef bar as a host of an event and got nothing but great feedback from our guests. The bar area had some great live jazz for the first part of the night followed by a DJ afterwards to give people something to dance to after a few cocktails. Hosts and staff was very proactive to the needs of our group to ensure everyone was accommodated. Will definitely be back to host and enjoy the food and ambiance.
  • wedding celebration
BeefBar exceeded all of our expectations! We got married today and I didn’t think the day could get anymore special than it was but the staff at BeefBar really truly made us feel loved and acknowledged and appreciated for choosing them as our place of celebration. As soon as we got inside they directed us to the lounge and the manager was kind enough to give us shots on the house already knowing the base for our visit. I would Highly recommend coming here. The food is 10/10, the drinks are strong and packed with flavor and the service was excellent! Thank you so much for making our wedding day one to brag about!!!!!!!!! We love BeefBar and will definitely be visiting again!
  • group dinner, party of 7
Disappointing overall, including a poorly handed allergy experience. Dined with a group of 7 on a Thursday evening The pros: busy, fun vibe and of the food we had -the milk bread and the amatriciana pasta were good The cons: the waiter recommended only the most expensive items on the menu including the $450 steak - and was quite pushy that we were under ordering (we didn’t) - also got our order wrong and had to correct several items, they seemed to find it hard to accommodate certain dietary restrictions. The rest of the food we had was average considering the price - Caesar had no presence of umami and was dry / bland, branzino and porterhouse rubbery and lacked flavour, the vegetable sides (Brussels, shishito peppers) were drowned in oil and the truffle fries again lacked the punch of truffle flavour. The crudo and crispy rice we ordered and I think OK, but I didn’t try. Of the desserts - carrot cake was dry, the banana cheesecake ok (needed more topping), and the gelato was nicely presented, but a huge portion of gelato with a tiny amount of toppings / sides The final thing to note was our desserts were brought out and explained as all nut free - one of our group has a nut allergy and was eating two of these desserts, when a second waiter came and added a complimentary creme brulee for her as the others contained nuts. Whilst this was a nice thought - she unfortunately had to urgently leave dinner very distressed to get medication and ensure her safety was not compromised. The staff were apologetic (and clearly this is an error in training / not the waiters fault) - however in addition to this upsetting - and potentially dangerous end to our meal - they only removed the desserts from the cheque by way of apology. I would expect more for a matter this serious. Given the standard of restaurants in New York and the experience we had, I would not recommend
  • fashion week events
Impeccable! I frequent this restaurant, maybe too often and for good reason! About two weeks ago, I took a girlfriend who doesn’t get out much, to dinner at Beefbar - when the staff heard it was her first night out in ages; they went above and beyond to make her night and she still can’t stop talking about it! However, the reason I am pausing to write a review is because this week was NYFW and I happened to come in for two events hosted here. Even under the pressure and chaos that comes with this crazy week; the service, atmosphere and food did not waiver from perfection. They didn’t even break a sweat. This place has the formula down. From first point of entry, the faces that greet you at the door to the attentiveness during your whole meal this team always makes sure it’s an experience. They are killing it. Keep up the good work!
