  An organization I run has held its board welcome dinner here 4 years in a row and the food and service are always amazing. We had some last minute changes this year and they accomodated us wonderfully. Their waiter Adrian and the manager took great care of us in their private dining area. Highly recommended.

  We had a wonderful experience at Tamarind Tribeca while celebrating my uncle’s 70th birthday. Our party consisted of 18 guests, and both the food and service were outstanding. The staff was attentive, professional, and ensured that everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. Special appreciation goes to the reservation team for thoughtfully accommodating our vegetarian requirements. The menu and arrangements were well planned, making the experience enjoyable for everyone in our group. The only downside was that a gratuity of $420 was automatically added to the bill. While we understand service charges for large parties, it would have been preferable to have gratuity offered as an option rather than pre-applied, allowing guests the flexibility to tip at their discretion. Aside from this, everything was excellent. Thank you to Tamarind Tribeca for helping make this celebration memorable.

  I had reserved a corporate dinner for 15. It was a fixed menu and a great experience. The variety of choices for all preferences (vegetarian, vegan and others) was great and the food was delicious.

  Didn’t have a good experience here. We had a reservation but ended up needing more seats, so we made two separate reservations. When we arrived, they seated us at separate tables. We asked to be moved together since the restaurant was about 70% empty, but the server was quite rude and said we should have informed them earlier. Thankfully, another staff member stepped in and moved us to a larger table with high seats. The experience didn’t improve much after that. We were told we had two options — prix fixe or à la carte — but were only given the prix fixe menu. When we asked again, the server said they couldn’t accommodate à la carte for a group this size, which didn’t make sense. Honestly, it felt like they just wanted to push us toward a $1200 bill for 12 people. Only after some hesitation from the group did he finally bring the regular menu, but by then, the mood had already soured. I’d been looking forward to the food after hearing so much about this place, but it was just… average. The standout was the mutton champaran — absolutely delicious. The Punjabi mutton was good too, but everything chicken we tried was pretty underwhelming. Overall, between the poor service and only a couple of memorable dishes, it wasn’t the experience I was hoping for.
