- client dinner, party of 20
Amazing experience! Hosted a group of 20 for a client dinner and could not recommend highly enough. Albert, our server, was phenomenal! His recommendations were perfect and he made our night even better! Will be back!
- private room dinner
We reserved a private room and had a spectacular time. Steve was great and helping us set up our menu and their flexibility was great so we could have just what we wanted. The service is impeccable, and the food would knock your socks off. We also very much appreciated their honesty – we didn’t realize that tip was already included and my husband put an additional tip on top. They came back to us and pointed out that we were double tipping so that we could rectify the situation - we probably would never have known otherwise! Kudos to the staff at Wolfgangs Tribeca.
- team dinner
Best steak in Manhattan but be careful of the check! Took my team here last night and had a decent meal. Waiters tend to suggest ordering a little too much steak so keep that in mind. Everything is cooked to perfection. The staff seems to prey on big groups so be very careful. We ordered one dessert, crème brulee, and everyone but me ordered coffee. Crème brûlée never showed up. Check came and I reviewed. Was surprised to see a variety of things we didn’t order listed. When I brought to the waiter’s attention they were dismissive and defensive and insisted other people had ordered these items when I clearly had done all ordering and only one person ordered dessert. I then asked the other people at the table if I was mistaken and perhaps they ordered something. They confirmed they hadn’t. I then insisted the items we didn’t order be removed. They took the check and brought a new one with the items removed but combined the two bottles of wine we had into one and added another. Mind you this was no two buck chuck. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice??? Not so fast! At that point I just laughed and said this is quite a racket! These people are hardworking guys and nice people but they clearly have a racket going overcharging groups who are paying with expense accounts that they assume are drinking a lot and not paying attention. Fortunately I was paying the bill and am not a heavy drinker so I saw exactly what was going on. I’d like to think this was an honest mistake but the audacity of the second check with an equally glaring overcharge was the straw that broke the camel’s back here. Be very careful!
- birthday reservation, party of 12
I received very horrible phone service from this location, I booked a reservation on Wednesday January 18th to celebrate my birthday with 12 of my closest friends this Saturday January 21st at 9PM. I received a confirmation email from open table stating that the reservation was all set. A few minutes ago i received a text message to confirm my reservation so I called in to modify from 12 guest to 10 guests. A very rude lady answered the call then proceeded to tell me that I had no reservation for that time. So I asked mam how can I not have a reservation when I have a email confirmation here? Her response was “ I don’t know but I don’t see a reservation here for you, do you want to keep wasting my time on the phone or book a reservation now?”. So I asked mam why are you being so rude, I don’t think this is very professional she completely ignore my comment. So I proceed to rebook my reservation and then I asked her what is her name she replied “NO NAME” I said mam is this a joke? She said no don’t worry about my name when you arrive just tell the reservationist your name and you will be good. I said okay but I think a name would be perfect since I had booked a reservation before and you told me I didn’t have one when I called in. She said have a nice day and hung up in my ear. Unfortunately this is not the service I expected from the Wolf Gang franchise so I canceled my reservation and went to another restaurant that would appreciate my business.
