  Had a social function in the private upstairs room. Lot s of good service and a great steak. Love how the space was decorated.

  I expected more professionalism from the staff. I made a reservation 3 months ahead of time. I was asked if I would like to have the first or second floor. I choose the second floor. It was an important detail for me. On the day of the reservation, I returned the confirmation call to Keens that I’d missed. During the call I provided the reservation details and said I’m retuning the confirmation call… the Man replied “yeh yeh yeh” then hung up. When my party of 6 arrived, I provided my name and the number of people to the lady. She didn’t look up my reservation and said “come this way (on the first floor)”. I said “when I made the reservation, it was for the second floor.” She replied “They may say that, but it’s not guaranteed.” Instantly I was very disappointed as we came from overseas and the west coast for this. The big man beside me suddenly said “6 people? (Looking at his iPad) if you want to be upstairs, we have to rearrange some tables.” I replied “Okay, yes.” Pressing a few buttons on his iPad the man said “oh, we have a table.” Then he instructed me to go upstairs and let “them” know, pointing to the direction of the stairs which I can’t see. (I was not ushered there). I felt very disappointed at the treatment, I felt dirty and looked down upon. Thanks for destroying my night! I’ve been telling my family visiting from the UK how great this restaurant is and they heard the exchange, I was embarrassed that I spoke highly of Keens to them. When the food arrived, they got the food and people all mixed up. If they didn’t know, they can ask instead of just sitting the wrong plate in front of the wrong person. We had 3 people who ordered filet mignon, some medium some medium rare. When we were half way through them we saw the redness and realized the servers probably gave the wrong steak to the wrong people. Just another disappointment to add to the night!

  We booked a table for 8 and it was the first stop of a bachelorette party. We tried a little bit of everything thanks to the waiter Rusty who gave us a thorough rundown of the menu and helped us order family style for the evening. We had really great cocktails, wine and a fantastic carrot cake dessert that he recommended as well! Love Keens. It’s always a blast to have a meal there.

  Sorry to say this place is officially off my list. I had a client dinner here of which I was majorly embarrassed that I chose this place. The manager came up to us, a group of 7, to complain that we were too loud. The room was full of people and we were not unusually loud by any means. You would think a restaurant would appreciate their guests enjoying themselves, patronizing their establishment at a tune of $250.00 per head. We are currently in a state of war and this was their complaint, disgraceful. To top it off, the food was subpar. Save your money, go to Quality Meats, FAR superior on every level.
