  • private party
Private party held in the tavern. Great service, delicious cocktails, solid food, notable truffle macaroni and cheese and fish and chips. Sometimes awkward as diners in the restaurant had to pass through our party but more for them than is, I think.
  • private room dinner
TLDR: Well-executed French food, with very nice service. Sat in the private room upstairs, and had a great time. Restaurant’s only been around since 2023 I believe, but vibes and ambiance inside are emblematic of old timey West Village steakhouses. Enjoyed the food - only a few things were particularly standout, but everything was generally cooked well. The sommelier and servers were great and very attentive. Starters: - Salad (solid, refreshing) - Fluke Tradito (interesting bite, not particularly memorable flavor-wise) - Canaroli Risotto (very tasty) Mains: - Chicken (kinda overcooked / tough - not my fav) - Sole (tasty, solid) - Farfalle (very good!) Sides: - Fries (tasty, nice crisp / thickness) - Spinach (good) Dessert: - Sorbet Trio (very tart, but fresh) - Chocolate Caramel Tart (decent, very rich)
  • event planning visit
May I have some chicken with my salt? That was my dinner lovely lovely experience. Oh, might I add the hostess team downstairs was less than stellar
  • birthday dinner
Disappointing Birthday Experience Celebrated my birthday at Golden Swan NYC, and it was a letdown. Despite mentioning it in the reservation, I had to ask twice for a birthday candle. We were seated in a cramped, silent room with two other tables, making the atmosphere anything but festive. While the mains were good, everything else fell short. To top it off, we were overcharged by $50 and rushed out at the end because they needed the table. If it weren’t my birthday, I would’ve left. Won’t be coming back.
  • holiday gathering, party of 6
I dined at The Golden Swan with a group of 6 for a holiday gathering. The restaurant is beautiful and charming. Quintessential west village, old luxury with a modern engine. The Bacon Wrapped Venison was perfectly tender and delicious.
