  Dining at Borgo was extraordinary—like being at your best friend’s house if they were a chef with a brick oven and a flair for perfection. Every dish was so insanely good we couldn’t stop ourselves from ordering doubles of everything (no regrets). The décor? Every inch was so perfectly crafted it felt like stepping into a magazine spread. They made my husband’s birthday unforgettable, hosting our large group like pros. Honestly, nothing in New York even comes close!

  update: From multiple other reviews, this place is clearly very pretentious. The manager's response is constantly passive aggressive, demonstrating that Borgo is not serious about actually taking criticism, hence why I mentioned the last sentence of my review. You indeed assumed incorrectly that your attempt "to really hear me in the moment was not enough to help solve the problem." My friend and I both looked annoyed as you handed us the bill, as anyone would if an influencer were filming with them in the background for their entire dinner. I should not have to tell you what I prefer as a apology, when I am paying $150+ per person for a 2 hour dinner. You should also be routinely checking what is going on during dinner service instead of sitting up front and expecting diners to just trying to have a normal dinner service bring this to your attention. Great service is about being PROACTIVE. Please check your ego and rethink how you take critique from customers rather than constantly making excuses. I booked Borgo for my best friend’s birthday, expecting a peaceful, memorable dinner after months apart. Unfortunately, the evening was overshadowed by an influencer filming and live streaming for over an hour with us in the background. This made it very difficult to enjoy our meal or have a private conversation. My friend was visibly uncomfortable, and while staff overheard our concerns, no one intervened until I raised the issue directly because my friend wanted to leave all together and finish our meal elsewhere. The manager was courteous and explained they thought the guest was FaceTiming someone, though, in a restaurant that positions itself as top notch, feels disruptive all the same and completely unacceptable. Furthermore, I had previously called ahead to arrange a surprise dessert for my friend, which was overlooked (OK in of itself, I know its a favor to ask), but there was also no meaningful gesture of apology, such as offering us a small dessert on the house for her birthday in light of the massive disruption we had faced for the large part of our evening. We ended up ordering our own dessert with a candle, which felt underwhelming for what was supposed to be a special celebration. Borgo's food is good, but thoughtful service is just as important as the menu, especially at this price point. Allowing influencers to film other diners during peak dinner service and not offering a genuine effort to make amends left us feeling disappointed rather than celebrated. Instead of having a special birthday evening, it was only memorable because of how terrible of an experience we had. We left feeling massively uncomfortable. This was my second visit, but in a city with countless excellent restaurants, I wouldn’t recommend Borgo for a special occasion until it takes guest experience more seriously. I do not want excuses from the staff for this review. Rather, just own up to the mistake.

  Came here on a Saturday night with a group and the restaurant was at capacity. I recommend making a reservation in advance. The food at this spot was fantastic and so was the atmosphere. There were tons of healthy options and lots of yummy cocktails including a few non-alcoholic options. I recommend checking it out for a date night or with a group

  Been only once with a group of people who love Borgo, at first I assumed they were hyping it too much but after brunch I realized this place is amazing. Good food, friendly staff, fast drinks. The cuisine felt modern yet authentic.
